For Gucci's 90th anniversary, Frida Giannini, creative director of the fashion house, looked to the 1970s for her inspiration, with particular regards to actress, Anjelica Huston. Giannini also sited the hippie subculture and singer, Florence Welch, as influences in respect to the closing chiffon dresses. Where most seventies-inspired fashion consists of warm, sepia tones, Gucci's fall collection made a bold statement by instead using vibrant hues.
