For Dior's 2008 Fall couture collection, the late Lisa Fonssagrives, widely credited as the first supermodel, served as John Galliano's muse. An additional source of inspiration was Dior's 1947 "New Look", including the curve-defining bar jacket, which was heavily featured in the collection.
